New Territory

Well, it looks like you’ve stumbled upon new territory! Congratulations! I’m sure you’re asking yourself; what did I do to deserve this, huh? See, most people view new territory as simple as a new career. Or to make matters more interesting a new career in a different city/state. Now, that’s what I call “New Territory.” But, that my dear is not what I mean. I may be taking this one out of context, just a little. But hey, I normally don’t stay within the lines when coloring either. So this shouldn’t be a shocker to you or me. This new territory that I’m speaking of is a new you! A new mindset, goal, new demeanor, new posture, and definitely new wisdom/understanding of who you truly are.

It’s been a while since my last blog, and this may be the very reason as to why. I too, have come across new territory. It took me a minute to recognize exactly what it was, but here I am to spread some insight on this title and movement in my life!

First of all, in order to embark onto new territory, you must do the following:

  1. Recognize the enemy’s tactics and his schemes against you. He doesn’t come up with anything new, because he is not a creator. He only mimics what he sees.  So this is by far the most imperative step into going forward in this process. The reason for that is simple, you cannot move forward without first acknowledging your mistakes. In knowing what you did wrong means you have the upper hand over the enemy. He cannot taunt you on the things that you have been forgiven from! Let me repeat that.. The enemy cannot taunt you about your past mistakes. God has already forgiven and forgotten about your past mistakes once you repented! You must look down at your feet when the enemy comes to condemn. He’s under your feet anyway, so have a little chat with him and let him know… HE LOSES!

  2.  Have clear instructions as to where you’re going in this new territory. The best way in finding your direction is by following your heart. Those things that you didn’t get a chance to see manifest in your old place, is where your compass is leading you now. Here’s another key after getting your direction; disassociate yourself with anyone or anything that was from your old ground. You’re only allowed to pick up spoils not weeds in this new territory!

  3.  Don’t be easily discouraged. This new ground comes with a sunshine and a little bit of rain too. Just know how to sit and soak it all in when it rains so that you can grow. You never want to intervene in the “growing” process. Let it rain! And when the sun is shining, make moves that will count toward your future.

  4.  And Finally… NEVER GIVE UP! I don’t care what it looks like or what it feels like. Put your emotions in check and under submission to your goals and keep it moving! Never give in and never give up!

I hope this encourages you to embark onto new territory! Make it your best year ever!
